BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Fresh off their acceptance as an American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II member, the club hockey program has been accepted into the Colonial States College Hockey Conference (CSCHC). The CSCHC is a college ice hockey league based in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. The conference is part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II and is made up of 12 teams from colleges and universities based in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Bryn Athyn will be the twelfth school to join the conference.
Head Coach Ryan Heickert on the Lions joining the CSCHS, “We are excited to be able to give our student athletes the opportunity to play against top schools in our region such as TCNJ, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, and Rutgers, to name a few. Getting into the CSCHC will provide strong competition, a centralized travel schedule and a quality hockey schedule. This is a huge opportunity for us, and we really appreciate the sense of community within the league already.”
The Lions are returning to ACHA play after competing in the NCAA the last four years. Coach Heickert and the Lions will take the ice again for the 2021-2022 season.
